“ First visit to Edenton NC and absolutely loved this restaurant! Our server was the sweetest! Apparently 3 sisters work here together. The chicken & waffles and avocado toast were scrumptious. Very flavorful, but not too rich or heavy, made for the perfect brunch. Window seats with a water view topped it off. Sunday, 11:30, June 1st 2025 was not too busy, but they have tons of seating available in & outside. Bonus: very reasonably priced! ”
“ I love The Herringbone. The old building was beautifully done (industrial look). I had the bread board, the shrimp & grits app & a side of the Brussels sprouts for dinner. It was a lot and it was very good - wonderful. ”
“ We enjoyed our lunch there. We had yellow fin tuna and shrimp and grits. Both dishes were delicious. Loved the atmosphere and deco! The staff was friendly and we had great service. Sat at a window and enjoyed seeing the water. We definitely will be back when In Edenton again. ”
“ My wife and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary and decided to do lunch here. Elizabeth was our server. She was really nice and we discussed her name and how we had family members that had the same name. She recommended the wedge salad and the Atlantic Salmon to me and they both were amazing and delicious! I could eat the wedge salad without the homemade blue cheese dressing. The salmon entree was delicious. So sad that I took a picture of all the food we had except my salmon. The menu talks about the executive chef and team and some history about the restaurant. I highly recommend Elizabeth and this restaurant. Previously, my review was as follows: The burger and the chicken entree were really good. We called right at or around 4pm to place order. Was told that it would be ready in 20 minutes. Was not ready until at least 30 minutes after placing call to order. We arrived, paid the bill and walked around to see the restaurant a bit. Asparagus came with my order and it tasted good. Butter beans did not taste the best. ”
“ Had a nice lunch here! We ordered the grilled chicken, a breadboard, and BBQ shrimp. All were delicious. The historic building is neat and it's right beside the lighthouse, park and water. Our server was nice and checked on us here and there. We'll definitely be back! ”
“ We loved the Herringbone and their amazing staff! We stopped in Edenton during our vacation and found out that not many restaurants are open Mondays/Tuesdays and even less that are dog friendly. The staff at the Herringbone went above and beyond to welcome us. We sat in the bar section for lunch and ended up going back for dinner on the patio. The food and drinks were perfect. Highly recommend the Herringbone! ”
“ On a recent visit to Edenton, we ate here twice. Night 1 - Sunday night with full dinner menu. We had steaks and they were outstanding! Very tasty and of the highest quality. My wife loved the Brussels Sprouts! Night 2 - Monday night - burger night. We both ordered burgers and they were delicious. Menu is somewhat limited on Mondays but the burgers were worth it. ”
“ Right at lunch on Good Friday, but still seated & served quickly. The building & location are beautiful. The outdoor seating areas are nice & have a spectacular view. The waitress, Jamie, was super sweet! She was so busy and still made recommendations, answered my questions, and was fully attentive. The food (flounder po’boy on a bun instead of hoagie & coconut cake to go) was delicious. Definitely recommend & looking forward to returning. ”
